For the right candidate, a career in travel is fun, exciting, ever-changing, and rewarding. Our travel advisors are true expert professionals in their craft. Through offering unbiased advice, they are tasked with connecting our clients with travel experiences that match their preferences and needs. Like any profession, it takes time to build experience and there is always something new to learn, but the two common traits among all of our successful advisors are a drive to succeed and a genuine desire to go the extra mile to help others. If this sounds like you, then a career in travel may be the greatest journey you will ever take.
A career in travel is hard work (quite literally… the word "travel" is said to originate from the Old French word travail, which means to work strenuously, toil). Along with the initial reaction of “You’re a travel agent? Do those still exist?”, when explaining our career to others we often hear “Wow… That sounds like a great job. I bet you get to travel all the time”. They don’t know how right they are (about the second statement at least… while our role has evolved over the years professional travel advisors are more relevant now than ever)! While a great perk of this profession is the opportunity to explore the world, the work involved with being a true expert travel advisor is not for everyone.
